January 9th, 2008

Online Expert Training Company xTrain Announces Partnership with Splash Media, LLP
January 8th, 2008
xTrain forms a relationship with Splash Media as both a partner and investor, which allows xTrain to be fiercely competitive in terms of production values and creating a quality learning experience.
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) January 8, 2007—xTrain forms a relationship with Splash Media as both a partner and investor, which allows xTrain to be fiercely competitive in terms of production values and creating a quality learning experience.
xTrain is an online video based training system with an approach that is much different than the other video trainers in the online training market. xTrain was created to fill a huge gap in the online video training world. Most video training uses screen capture software and a voiceover, which makes the learner not very engaged and is quite boring to most learners. xTrain creates a much more active learning environment through high quality production, a proprietary streaming solution “Splash Stream 7.0”, and a well formatted instructional design system. xTrain caters to the social web 2.0 user who likes to rate videos and have their own profile posted. Among other things, Splash Media builds “niche” broadband network channels for viewers with extremely passionate interests. Splash uses their proprietary, award winning production technology to deliver content through the Internet and satellite to narrow and loyal audiences.

November 16th, 2007
“This fun and exciting class features all of the professional techniques that anyone using Adobe Photoshop needs to know to make their portraits better than real life,” said Siotha Vest, xTrain’s Director of Training. “This latest addition to Russell Brown’s classes on xTrain provides our students with solid instruction enabling them to master Photoshop CS3 without the boredom of typical online video training.”
In this new class, Dr. Brown provides several insider secrets for retouching portraits such as whitening teeth and eyes, enhancing eyelashes, reducing 5 o’clock shadow, removing wrinkles, and color correcting skin tones all within Adobe Photoshop. Dr. Brown uses multiple blending techniques, healing brushes, and the Auto Blending layers to accomplish his retouching effects. These techniques are all focused on throughout the show, with some fun antics mixed in along the way.
With the philosophy, "Learning about Adobe Photoshop should never be boring," Russell Brown and xTrain have created several other exciting classes on topics such as 3-D Experiments, Black and White Experiments, and Animation Experiments. During these training sessions students can discover how to import 3 dimensional vector art then adjust size, tinker with lighting effects, and manipulate tiny vectors; learn to transform their images into creative black-and-white masterpieces; or discover how to quickly edit movie frames in Photoshop CS3 Extended Edition, control timelines, learn motion blur techniques and even import sounds.

Ben Willmore Creates High Dynamic Range (HDR) course with xTrain
September 19th, 2007
xTrain™ and expert instructor Ben Willmore offer high demand High Dynamic Range (HDR) Mastery for digital photographers
Dallas, TX [PRWEB] September 20, 2007 – xTrain.com the leader in on-line video training for media, arts, and design, is excited to offer High Dynamics Range (HDR) Mastery, an on-line training session with expert Ben Willmore.
Currently xTrain’s hottest selling on-line training session, HDR, offers digital photographers the training they need to take their digital photographs to a new level. HDR is the process of taking a sequence of exposures, and then allows you to lighten your underexposed areas and darken your overexposed areas to better simulate what your eye would actually see. This technique creates photographs that will display a more dramatic and detailed picture worth more than a thousand words.
To date, Ben has personally taught over 60,000 Photoshop users on three continents. His descriptions of Curves and Channels are thought to be the best in the industry and his breakthrough teaching style of “not-just-how-but-why,” has made him the in-house instructor of choice for companies such as Mercedes Benz, Adobe Systems, America Online, the U.S. Airforce, Lexis Nexis and Fisher-Price Toys. His award-winning, best-selling book, Adobe Photoshop Studio Techniques is said to be “Arguably, one of the best Photoshop books ever written,” by Photoshop User’s publisher, Jim Workman. Ben’s latest book Photoshop CS3: Up to Speed is a new book concept focusing exclusively on the new features in Photoshop CS3. He is also co-author with Jack Davis of How to Wow: Photoshop for Photographers, and the creator of the best-selling Master Series videos.
One of Ben’s students, David McLauglin, comments, "This has to be the best, informative, fully capturing of the whole topic on-line course I've ever taken or seen. Congratulations to Ben, and anyone helping Ben put this on. I'm totally blown away." When you enroll in the HDR course, you can expect to learn about the limitations of your camera, how to process your HDR file, how to choose your subject, how to merge your exposures, and much more. To view samples of the dramatic detail your photographs could exhibit, visit www.xtrain.com.
